I’m addicted to working out so you better believe I’ve tried almost every pair of leggings out there. I actually first tried the AA Center Stage legging during pregnancy – I know, you would think it’s not a smart barometer for fit, but, that just goes to show you how good they are. They were the most comfortable at my heaviest pregnancy weight, and now back at my normal weight. In fact, I gave my larger pregnancy size ones to my mom after and even she was amazed by them and wears them on the reg now.
They tuck you in in all the right places, and the best part – NO CAMEL TOE – because they don’t have seams anywhere aside from the waist and hem. Typically, the tighter the leggings the more likely you are to have this issue but the tight, and therefore super flattering, fit is not compromised by the crotch seam that most leggings have. Also to note, they are sweat wicking like WHOA. At the risk of my own embarrassment I will tell you about my first post-pregnancy Barry’s Bootcamp class where I was really feeling myself and full-stream peed my pants. But have no fear – my AA Center Stage leggings had my back. Or my crotch, I should say. You couldn’t see ANYTHING.
And for that, my friends, these are a #nobrainer.
Sizing
Fits true to size, but if you’re in between go smaller as the tighter the fit, the more flattering the look
These come a close second, but they’re not as flattering, and you can see sweat with tougher workouts. From a price standpoint, you can find a lot more of the Nike leggings on sale/discounted at their outlets, at Dick’s Sporting Goods, or other stores.
Even though these are higher waisted, they cut at a weird spot on your torso and muffin top. The All Access are high waisted, but way more flattering. And the fabric is more sweat-wicking and durable.
Victoria’s Secret Essential Legging
These leggings are a good option if you’re looking for a more budget-friendly pair. While they are priced at $70 full-price, you can almost always find sales that make this $25-40. I don’t love the fit as much, but it is a great price point. If I’m not doing a lot of leg work, I will wear these as they tend to fit tighter/be less stretchy.
