review

As a short curvy girl, finding jeans is almost as frustrating as swimsuit shopping. Or was, until I discovered Mother Denim. Fairly new to the jean game, this line is super comfy with a ton of styles and colors to choose from. The most important thing for me is no gaping in the waistline, since my apple bottom is a whole different size than my waist. And the crop options on a lot of their styles allows for short girls to skip the tailor for hemming. As a jean junkie, I’m relieved to have found a reliable brand where my size doesn’t change according to style. #everydayphenomenal

Sizing Tips & FAQs

Sizing Recommendation:

They run a size big so I recommend sizing down.

Do they stretch?

Most of the styles do have a little stretch. It’s not to the point of the style completely changing, but you can always check the elastane content on each style.

This was my go-to before I discovered Mother. I loved the way their denim fit around my curves.. but, the gaping waistline on some styles was still an issue that I don’t have with Mother.

J-Brand

Their denim line doesn’t offer as many styles, the sizing is inconsistent, and their fabric doesn’t wear well – not only do they stretch a lot, but they also tend to rip easily, specifically where your thighs rub together. And if you boast an inner thigh gap like Beyonce and your thighs don’t rub together – I’m jealous!

Agolde

While I love the fits and styles of this newer denim brand, they stretch like crazy.
