THE JOAT'S Advice

You can find these about $10 cheaper on Amazon than Sephora/Nordstrom. I tend to buy when it’s on sale at Amazon or during the annual Sephora or Nordstrom sales.

Let’s FACE it – we’re always on the hunt for the perfect underye cure-all. Whether you’re hungover or have had too little or too much sleep, these provide immediate depuffing and tightness. The Shiseido eye masks have just the right amount of moisture to stay put and the leftover product after removal goes on like serum instead of leaving sticky residue. The price point isn’t bad, either – they’re actually cheaper than a lot of other brands offering similar products – 12 pack for $50.

I use eyemasks on mornings where I haven’t had enough sleep & feel puffy and/or dry. They’re a quick refresh in these instances. They can & should also be used for preventative maintenance – the more moisture the area gets the less likely/quickly you’ll have fine lines & wrinkles. Contrary to what products may advertise, aside from treating dryness & puffiness – and addressing the dryness prevents wrinkles – our dark circles are more treatable with makeup than anything else. I recommend using 2-3x/week. Overuse can actually dry the area out more.

And the most important part – the glow factor. Your undereye area actually appears to shine after use! It’s the closest thing to undereye fillers without the needle.

Basically, these Shiseido eyemasks are a sure bet for a quick refresh/pick me up if your eyes are puffy or very dry. They hydrate your skin and give you a great glow, at a great price point!

Sizing Tips & FAQs

Why should I use an eye mask?

I use eye masks on mornings when I haven’t had enough sleep and feel puffy and/or dry. They’re a quick refresh in these instances. They can and should also be used for preventative maintenance – the more moisture the area gets, the less likely/quickly you’ll have fine lines and wrinkles.

How often do you use these?

I recommend using 2-3 times/week. Overuse can actually dry the area out more.. it’s a fine balance! I tend to keep these on for 10-15 minutes while I’m getting ready, and then finish the rest of my makeup.

What does this treat? Wrinkles, dark circles, dryness?

Contrary to what products may advertise aside from treating dryness and puffiness, dark circles are more treatable with makeup than anything else. Generally speaking, addressing dryness on your skin can prevent/delay wrinkles (see above).

Solid second place, great for hydration and depuffing, but not much of a glow after. They are also more expensive than the Shiseido per packet (almost double the price)
