Best Post-Shave Face Cream for Men

I’ve always had fairly sensitive skin which can be prone to ingrown hairs and occasional breakouts after shaving. Discovering this lotion almost five years ago has been a life saver for me.

Neutrogena’s Triple Protect Daily Face Lotion checks off all the things I look for in a good post-shave balm:

5. Travel size
6. Contains SPF

The last one is key and is the feature that you do not often find in most post-shave balms (particularly one that absorbs this quickly). We all really should be using SPF daily, in the summer or winter months, to protect our face from sun damage. This lotion helps you conveniently do that while also soothing any possible razor irritation.

The only puzzling part of this lotion is how poorly designed the bottle is. For some reason, J&J decided to give this a rounded base for the cap. Therefore, it is impossible to stand this thing up straight. In all the years I’ve used this lotion, they have yet to change the design. It’s a minor inconvenience which is overshadowed by all the positives, including a relatively inexpensive price tag for a bottle that can last months. While having tested several different types of balms, none provide the same all-in package we see from Neutrogena’s Triple Protect. I’ve used this product for over 6 years now and I expect to be using it for years to come.
