I enjoyed Brickell’s shampoo and felt my hair strengthen and gain a little more volume after use. However, my hair felt drier and not as smooth as it does after using Pura D’Or. Moreover, it’s pretty expensive at $20 for an 8oz. bottle which doesn’t even have a proper dispenser.

If you ever got your hair washed at a Supercuts growing up, there’s a good chance they used this shampoo on you. It smells amazing and the Tea Tree leaves your scalp tingling afterwards. However, I did not think it made my hair any more voluminous or thick at all.
L’Oréal Paris Elvive Volume Filler Thickening Cleansing Shampoo
This one smells incredible also and is extremely low priced. However, it dried out my skin so there must be something in the ingredient list which produced a bad reaction. Either way, it wasn’t as volume producing as the Pura D’Or.
Every Man Jack 2-In-1 Thickening Shampoo and Conditioner
If you live with a wife or girlfriend, you should know that you’ll get clowned for using a 2 in 1 shampoo/conditioner regardless of how effective it is. Like the Paul Mitchell Tee Tree shampoo above, this one also produces an amazing Tea Tree scent and feeling. I just did not think it was that effective in reducing fallout or creating thickness.
Just For Men Control GX Grey Reducing Shampoo
If you’re greying in addition to thinning, I’m sure you have noticed this product in commercials. I’m greying a little bit on the sides and decided I’d give this a shot and I found it to be really unimpressive in making much of a difference at all. Its messy and just not overly effective.

There are a bunch of these type of caffeine infused hair growth shampoos floating around on Amazon. I tried this one for a few months and did not notice the difference that many reviewers have enthusiastically commented. It’s extremely expensive at between $60-80 per 8oz bottle.
